德國導演重新剪輯敘述台灣1945 年至1985 年變遷史的宣傳影片，以現代角度重新編排歷史影像，呈現出一種當代的、宛如資料影帶構成的歌劇片。跟隨著影片中的情感，勾勒出導演本身對現代台灣歷史的認知。 
 
The director uses modern perspective to re-edit archive footages of Taiwan from 1945 to 1985. The film displays a contemporary musical of historical images, the film displays the director’s knowledge of Taiwan history.

時光．收音機 Time. Radio

那時我還小，跟著爸爸聽收音機，聽著放送片頭的聲音。那困苦的年代最盼望的聲音，一股支持人生繼續走下去的動力。過了40 幾年又聽到相同的片頭，更令人訝異的是那聲音竟沒變，依舊低沉穩重...。 
 
When I was little, I would listen to the radio with Dad. It was the most anticipated voice in that hard time, it drove people to continue with their lives. Hearing the same opening after 40 years, surprisingly, the voice has not changed.

陳玉峰30 年來走遍台灣，撰述無數田野調查報告和專書。本片藉著1959 年八七水災後重建大肚橋的紀錄影片，及陳玉峰在推動環保工作上受創的身影，企圖了解在大破壞之後，福康是否還有遠景？ 
 
Chen Yu-fong pledged to make a thorough census for every single tree in Taiwan. He is devastated by the ignorance of the environment surrounding us. Shooting this film, I wonder if reconstruction of a devastated heart is possible?

阿蕊的家庭理髮 My Life-long Hair

台中市某條小巷裡，藏著一家經營40 年的家庭理髮店。老闆娘阿蕊從事家庭理髮已經整整50 個年頭，她的店記錄了附近許多人的成長。阿蕊從一個鄉下來到都市學習一技之長的少女，變成兒女成群的快樂阿嬤。 
 
Hidden in a back alley in Taichung is a forty-year-old familyrun saloon. The owner, Rei, has been working as a hairdresser for more than five decades. Her saloon has witnessed the lives of her neighbors.

Since rivers in cities have become safer and easily-managed, water is drifted apart from human lives. Only those streams which still keep wildness and vitality, are able to spread out the close relationship with human being.
