是一場環境保衛戰，也是小蝦米與大鯨魚的搏鬥。1990年，台電公司在台中縣興建了全亞洲最大的「台中火力發電廠」；2005 年，又計畫在彰化縣的彰濱工業區闢建「彰工火力發電廠」。消息傳來，地方環保人士迅速組織「反彰火聯盟」，就此展開環境運動保衛戰。然而，長路迢迢，關卡重重，一小撮人的行動，能不能引起廣大冷漠結構的回應？ 
 
In 1990, the Taiwan Power Company Ltd. constructed the biggest power plant in Asia in Taichung. In 2005, the Taiwan Power Company planned to construct another in Changhua County. This documentary centers on the environmentalists in Changhua who immediately organized the “Anti Changhua Power Plant Alliance”. Will their movements get any response from the public?

90 年代，紅毛猩猩在台灣因為大眾傳播媒體的推波助瀾，竟成為許多人家的「寵物」，牠們從婆羅洲與蘇門達臘島輾轉被走私到台灣，歷經顛沛流離、族群死別、家園崩毀，再遭到棄養、無家可歸。這是一個不應該開始，但又很真實的故事，因為一連串的錯誤，20 幾年來，牠們遭受許多苦難，在牠們的身上，看到了人類所留下來滿滿的烙印。 
 
Orangutans, native to Malaysia and Indonesia, are the “Man of the Woods”. But since the 1980, Taiwanese merchants have smuggled the furry great apes to Taiwan to sell them as domesticated pets. This documentary shows the efforts of research institutes who have been working to rescue these creatures by training them to eventually release them back into the wild. Can the apes once again swing in the paradise they seem to have lost?

近年中國政府大力推動都市發展，拼經濟！卻犧牲了自然環境資源，污染了空氣、水和土地。影片記錄了4 位敢於和地方當局對抗的百姓居民，用自己的方式，以堅強的韌性記錄下這些不公義的事實。在環境汙染危機與政策偏差的「乾旱」下，這四位環保鬥士如何能單打獨鬥地在艱困環境中「造雨」─在陳腐的體制下，創造一番新氣象。 
 
Rainmakers is an investigative documentary about the decline of China's environment. The story is told from the perspective of four civil activists who refuse to accept the ongoing ecological destruction of their homeland. On the border of heroism and stubbornness, four remarkable Chinese civilians explain why they have the courage to fight the local authorities, against all odds.

我們或許都是植物。植物有根，離不開自己的土地，待不慣異鄉的泥土。大地以不同的樣貌循環出現。100 年前，口湖地區潟湖與濕地交錯，被記錄在史料中，潟湖漸漸消失，良田出現；20 年前，上天決定把它收回，良田消失，濕地再現。旅人視之為美好風景，卻是當地居民的苦難。雖然大地得以休養生息，但離鄉的子弟卻得牢記家鄉的貧瘠...。 
 
Kouhu is a place where land disappears and reappears in the course of history. 20 years ago, wetlands reappeared, turning the residents of Kouhu into one form of “climate refugees”. What visitors regard as beautiful scenery is in fact sorrow of the local residents. While nature gave the land a chance to recuperate, the people who were forced out of the land carry the memory of impoverished homeland forever.

在芬蘭的地底深處，一條幽暗森冷的隧道，用來貯存高度放射性的核能廢料。為了封印這些人類製造出來的恐怖怪物，工程必須絕對堅固安全，要禁得起任何預想得到的氣候變化，安然度過至少10 萬年。即使如此，我們真能確信這樣就沒有問題？封印的警示真的能夠阻止後世人們一探究竟的好奇心？我們是否為後代埋下了無可挽回的災難？ 
 
“This place is not a place of honour. No esteemed deeds are commemorated here.” These are the sentences that future man will meet, if he finds and opens the gigantic network of underground tunnels, which presently are hewn out of the bedrock in Finland. The tunnels will be filled with high-level radioactive waste, which must be kept isolated from human beings for at least 100,000 years into the future.

國立台灣美術館自2006年承辦台灣國際紀錄片雙年展(Taiwan International Documentary Festival, TIDF)以來，致力於紀錄片之推廣教育，已普遍獲得社會大眾迴響。今年我們持續透過「台灣國際紀錄片雙年展」平台，將優秀的紀錄影片推廣至全國，希望藉此讓紀錄片更為全台民眾所認識與分享。

本次巡迴「真實紛呈 紀錄延伸－2011台灣國際紀錄片雙年展精選影片巡迴放映」活動，主要將「2010台灣國際紀錄片雙年展」得獎及台灣映像入圍之精選影片進行全台映演。希冀透過紀錄片推廣教育活動，培育新興觀影人口，促進地方、社群民眾參與，落實紀錄片紀錄真實，延伸地方人、事、物之核心探討與互動。本活動預計巡迴四個月，走訪34處文教單位，放映30部影片，巡迴場次多達200場以上，並規劃多場映後座談，邀請導演或學者專家與民眾面對面對話。

本屆巡迴影展主題訂為「真實紛呈 紀錄延伸」，依影片內容分為「親愛地球」、「戰痕印記」、「時代變遷」、「愛無疆界」、「風華記憶」、「人民工廠」等六大單元，觀眾可藉由單元角度切入影片議題，認識真實多元面貌之特性，並從紀錄切片中發現大世界，學習關注生活與社會脈動，延伸思考。影片內容包括：「親愛地球」單元的《帶水雲》、《遮蔽的天空》、《核你到永遠》探討環境生態保育與現代化之間的衝突與抗衡對峙情節；「時代變遷」中的《牽我的手》是獲得2010TIDF「台灣獎」首獎、《聖與罪》則展現小人物為了理想，堅持不懈的意志與感人經歷，而在雙年展獲得「國際長片競賽」優等獎及「觀眾票選獎」的《乘著光影旅行》則完美記錄時空背景交錯下生命的精彩展現與能量綻放；在「愛無疆界」單元中《攝吧！我的愛》、《迫降前我愛你》傳達愛情與親情間難分難解的學習課題；「人民工廠」中的《T婆工廠》、《天線寶寶之停車暫借問》帶出資本主義下層出不窮的勞資爭議問題、《鐵烏鴉》呈現亞洲國家貧窮面貌的辛酸；「戰痕印記」中的《等待返家日》、《戰爭噹噹》反映戰後所造成的創傷與殘酷、《軍教男兒－台灣軍事教導團的故事》以幽默、訪談的方式呈現台灣軍教團60年來的軍旅生活，也讓歷史面貌得以釐清再現；最後，《大台中紀事3》則集結6位不同資歷與創作風格的導演對於大台中城市的觀察紀錄，藉此讓觀眾重新認識台中城市獨特的人文風情等；多部國內外精選紀錄影片並陳輝映，將帶給民眾更為全面整體的觀看角度與視野。
